SRE Platform Engineer

## The Role

We're hiring an **SRE Platform Engineer** to build and operate a secure Azure platform that hosts enterprise AI and analytics workloads for government customers. You'll own the foundation the rest of engineering builds on: the infrastructure, the pipelines, the guardrails, and the reliability that lets a mission team ship without fighting the platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who treats infrastructure as a product with users.

## What You'll Do

- Build and maintain secure Azure infrastructure as code (Terraform), with environments that are reproducible and auditable
- Run the CI/CD backbone (GitHub Actions) that gets code from a branch to an accredited environment safely
- Operate container orchestration (AKS) for AI and analytics workloads, including scaling, observability, and incident response
- Bake security and compliance into the platform rather than bolting it on: access controls, secrets, logging, and the controls accreditation demands
- Partner with the AI and application engineers so the platform fits how they actually work, and feed friction back into the roadmap

## What We're Looking For

- Strong platform or SRE experience operating cloud infrastructure that other teams depended on
- Depth in Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes/AKS, and GitHub-based CI/CD
- A reliability mindset: you measure, you automate the toil away, and you're calm when something breaks at a bad hour
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government clearance; residence in the Eastern or Central time zone

## Strong Advantages

Nice-to-haves, not strict requirements.

- Experience in accredited or regulated environments (FedRAMP, IL-level, or similar)
- Time hosting AI/ML or data-analytics workloads at scale
- Comfort scripting the glue (Bash, Python) and automating the boring parts
