Senior Product Designer (Illustration & Motion, EdTech)

## The Role

We're hiring a **Senior Product Designer** to own the look and feel of how kids learn on our platform, which today reaches more than 150,000 students. You'll design the student learning experience end to end, and you'll set the illustration and motion bar for the whole company: the standards, the motion principles, the character direction. This is a craft-leadership seat for a designer who can both make the work and direct it.

## What You'll Do

- Own the student learning experience from problem definition through delivery
- Work in a product trio with a PM and an engineering manager, trading off the pedagogical, technical, and business calls with real accountability for the outcome
- Set the illustration and motion direction across all of Miaplaza and hold the bar for it
- Art-direct AI-assisted production: build the prompts, references, and review process so output from freelancers, junior designers, and AI tools hits the standard, rather than hand-producing everything yourself
- Keep the experience accessible and clear for young and neurodivergent learners

## What We're Looking For

- A portfolio of shipped digital product work, not concepts
- At least two years as a product or UX designer working alongside PMs and engineers
- Strong illustration or motion skills, with at least a year focused on one of them as your primary craft
- Fluency in Figma
- Experience directing visual work produced by other people

## Strong Advantages

Nice-to-haves, not strict requirements.

- Deep motion craft in a product context: interactions, onboarding, character animation
- Experience using AI image and motion tools to scale production
- Comfort running your own usability research
- EdTech or multi-brand design background
- Accessibility practice for neurodivergent audiences

## Why This Role Is Special

The art isn't a skin on top of the learning, it is the learning. A kid who reads slowly can still follow a character and a motion cue, so the illustration and motion you set the bar for is often what decides whether a lesson lands. You'll shape that across every brand we run.

## Location

100% remote for EMEA candidates, within two hours of CET, with overlap from 10:00 to 15:00 CET.
