Product Manager

## The Role

We're hiring a hands-on **Product Manager** who loves taking something apart to understand how it works and then making it better. You'll own a slice of how landlords and real-estate investors get a quote, bind coverage, and manage a policy, with the bar being minutes, not days. This is a role for someone who sits close to the actual flow, not above it in a roadmap tool.

## What You'll Do

- Own a product area end to end: the problem, the spec, the launch, and what happens after it ships
- Get into the quoting and binding flow in detail and find the friction a landlord feels and we don't
- Work directly with engineering and design to ship, and with underwriting and insurance ops so the product respects how coverage actually works
- Use data to decide what's worth building, and be honest about what isn't
- Support our embedded partners (lenders and proptech) so insurance shows up cleanly inside their experience

## What We're Looking For

- Experience owning a product end to end, ideally something transactional where speed and correctness both matter
- You're hands-on: you read the data, click through the flow, and talk to users rather than managing from a backlog
- Comfort in a domain with real rules (insurance, payments, lending) where you can't hand-wave the constraints
- Clear communicator who can align engineering, design, and business on one version of the problem

## Strong Advantages

Nice-to-haves, not strict requirements.

- Insurance, fintech, or embedded/API-product experience
- You've shipped something that cut a multi-day process down to minutes
- Early-stage background where you built the product process instead of inheriting it

## Location

Chicago, IL, or remote in the US. The Chicago core runs a hybrid week.
